NOCA has two separate treatment programs for adult males. One is the Residential Treatment Program in Miami, OK and the other is Universal Life in Jay, OK.
Treatment experts agree that substance abuse treatment for men needs to be approached from a perspective that includes the context of men's lives, beliefs, and responsibilities. These include their relationships with family, extended family, employment, financial responsibilities, and support systems. Other areas of focus will be social and economical environments and the impact of a lack of life management skills.
Residential Treatment
Residential Treatment
NOCA’s six month program is typically comprised of 30 days residential treatment, consisting primarily of a Hazelden Cognitive Behavioral program. The remaining five months include weekly relapse prevention, criminogenic thinking, and life management therapy. During the five month period, participants are required to become financially responsible for their parenting, legal, and personal financial obligations. Participants are required to obtain employment or to be full time students. Students or employed participants are required to sign in, sign out, and inform staff of their location at all times. Participant leave, away from the local area, is only granted and approved following staff review. All leave must be approved by staff. Participants are also required to submit to random urinalysis testing. The agency’s policies are strict and proven effective through the years.
This program is ODMHSAS funded for the first 30 days.

Universal Life
Universal Life
With the opportunity for indigent funds to be used for treatment decreasing, there is a present need for a program that allows for reasonably priced treatment and an ongoing opportunity for long term care of a chronic medical disorder. The ongoing investment in their own personal care and treatment increases the value of the program services they receive. The number of men caught in the grip of addiction and other behavioral health issues has continued to increase. Although there are treatment services available, the opportunity for state covered treatment for indigent populations is diminishing across the nation. The need far outweighs the availability of recovery directed programs. NOCA's commitment to providing community based treatment for these men in need has led us to open this program. Men face a number of challenges or obstacles to accessing treatment, including the stigma of substance abuse, fear of loss of family, and fewer and fewer resources available. Other obstacles include a lack of collaboration among social service systems, lack of culturally congruent programming, and limited options for men who do not possess the ability to pay due to incarceration, criminal history, or past lifestyles.
All applicants will need to be able to:
Obtain and maintain full time employment
Lift a minimum of 80lbs
Maintain strenuous levels of work performance
Pass a urinalysis
Begin work within ten days after admission
Provide at least two forms of ID (i.e. social security card, state ID, driver's license, birth certificate, CDIB card)
